Well, if you have hit by ransomware: I am sorry but now is a bit too late. Truth is that you should get prepared upfront so when it happens, you know what to do.
Basic things like: keeping regular backs ups - in a separate device or in a cloud service - will save you from the total disaster. Create a disaster recovery plan or just a cheatsheet and test it, what would you do in case you don´t have access to any system? who will you contact first? what will be the narrative to your clients? will you need to report it to a regulatory agency? Prepare upfront, it´s not if it happens, but when it happens.
